Oh Yeah, I have a Blog...

Hi!  We know about 5words now.  "Hi, bye, bath, ball and Shay (name of our dog and all dogs and cats, according to Wade)".  All other words are "Eesh".  No 'mommy' no 'daddy'...just "eesh".

We suck our finger.  Yes we do. 

Sucking his finger and putting something up to his nose with his other hand is our favorite routine.  He'll use a blanket, shirt, tree branch, food, shoelace, etc.

Being outside is the best!  Even when it's 100 degrees:(

Wade is watching his dad remove a wasps nest.  Probably was a parenting fail to leave him out there while the wasps were being poked. 

 We remodeled our bathroom!  The original 1950's pink tile is gone as well as the brown dungeon paint.  It would make sense for me to have some after photos but I don't!

Wade finally learned how to blow his horn. 

If this were a video you would hear the most beautiful music.

Nope.  That end doesn't make noise.

No, not everything makes noise when you blow on it. 

Pools and Parties!

My mom is celebrating her 70th birthday on Tuesday and we got together on Saturday to eat and open a gift. Wade helped her open it!  Evidently there was a present for Wade in there as well...the tissue paper!

Wait, maybe my mom loved the tissue paper too.

Everything was going so well until my mom started force feeding the tissue paper to Wade.

We got a pool!  It's AWESOME!  It was the best $10 we have spent maybe ever.  Wade loves it.  In a mature exceptionally bright kind of way.  

"Guys!  I see the pool."

"Put me down quick.   It's right over there!"

Water was freezing. 

Wade hated the hat.

Best part:  He stayed in it!  I'm sure that won't last for long.  Come on over!  And bring your toys!  Ours are kind of lame.

Easter-ish

These pictures kind of got jumbled up but it is not important enough for me to try to figure out how to fix them!  Wade is a reader.  Loves his books.  No NEW books.  Only the books that he has been reading for months.  Pull out a new one and he pushes it away.  Love it when he reads to himself! 

Easter egg hunting is boring when you are 1!  Wade couldn't have cared less about the eggs.  Glad we didn't go to much trouble.  My friend Denna told me about a milk/egg free chocolate and so I got some chips to put in his eggs.  Thought it would be the best!  Wade spit them out.  He is so healthy:)

Such a sweet picture!  Wade is so blessed to have his 'dranma and dranpa' in his life!

Haircut!

We have had mixed emotions about a haircut for Wade. Just want to keep him a sweet baby!  But, it's been getting a little out of hand.

As if to give us his blessing, Wade worked up the worst hair look we have ever seen while we were waiting for our turn.  No sweet baby hair here.

He was the model client!  He never fussed once.

We are so sorry Wade that we did not do this sooner.  Please forgive us.  You are even cuter than we thought!

Play!

Wade has been loving his play room!  We turned our "office/third bedroom" (that we never used) into a play room for Wade's party last month and have never changed it back.  It's AWESOME!  Wade spends literally minutes in there at a time playing and singing and banging things around while we cook dinner/clean up, etc.  It is a strange room with a door on every wall so we close all but one and put a baby gate in the 4th door so we can see and hear each other.  Best part, we don't have toys everywhere and it keeps his attention focused in a place that he can't get into trouble!  Love it!  I wonder how long this will last...

Wade has not been into smiling much lately.  If I think about it I could force myself to cry but I'm not going to worry about it.  I don't really like to smile either so I guess he just takes after me:)
