Mother's Day

Because Mother's Day was also my mom's birthday, mom was in charge of the day. The Oklahoma Aquarium was letting mom's in free...we like a good deal! (Justin was fishing for shrimp in this picture)
Wade saw a lot of new things...not sure what he was experiencing here but it was obviously shocking.
Grandma and grandpa were happy to step in when staring at the ceiling in the stroller got old.

The beavers were so cute and gross at the same time!
Leave it to dad to find the most obnoxious thing in the gift shop. Wade would have loved it!

Spring Pics

Aunt Jenny took some very sweet pictures of our main man when he was 6 weeks old. It was a perfect spring day and the tulips were in bloom at Woodward Park! I forgot to put them on here...he has changed so much since then!

My favorite face!

Tummy Time

We start out on our tummy but it turns into cuddle time instead because we don't like our tummy cause we can't see anything fun :( I need to figure out that these pictures always load in the reverse order that you select them...

The lip! I can't stand how cute it is.

Working on my fitness!

2 Months Old!

Wade is the cutest! He makes the best faces. Of course, it is impossible to get a picture of him smiling and all I can seem to capture is crying or spaced out. Still the cutest! He is definitely starting to hold his head up more and more and is so strong. He is sleeping perfectly through the night and we have finally got him going to bed by 10:00pm--no small victory. I am still doing no dairy, no nuts, no tomatoes and no corn although, I don't think it made a lick of difference. Wade still screams during feedings from time to time but I am convinced it has nothing to do with an intollerance to my milk. He is going for his 2 mo check up on Friday and I am going to break the news to the pediatrician that I want to go off this diet. Useless! Gimme some cheese please!

Will post some videos soon--much easier to catch him smiling in those!

But, I love cheese!

Justin and I had our first 'Date Night' on Saturday since the baby was born. It was great! Got out of the house, had a little something fruity to drink and talked to my husband about things other than breast feeding, sleep and poop. Yippee! I had seen these signs around town that were advertising a creamery at Utica Square...what? Ice cream at Utica!!???! So, I made my husband take me there after dinner for a little ice cream. Delish! It's my new fav. They are simular to Marble Slab because you can pick your ingredients and they mash it up for you. I got Oreo and pecan.
Little did I know, this may be the last ice cream I eat for the next year! (thank goodness I didn't buy the Freckles Groupon a few days ago). Yes, I am sad to say that at the pediatrician's office earlier today I was told to avoid all dairy, nuts, corn and tomatoes to see if Wade has some intollerences that might be causing him to scream when he is eating. Really, what she should have told me was, "Eat boiled chicken and lima beans". I am being immature about this. In my heart of hearts I want to keep Wades tummy from hurting but I love all the things she told me I can't have AND! these restrictions may last until after I stop breast feeding. Sigh. Good thing I love him cause I feel like I am being asked to give up Diet Pepsi or something (which I am NOT!). Coffee is off the menu though because of the creamer. Not desparate enough to try a non-dairy powdery creamer. Nope. Just going to have another Diet Pepsi for breakfast...with my boiled chicken patty.
Look how happy I am! Ice cream, I will miss you the most. One day we will meet again. Of course, I have still been terrible about taking pictures of the baby! I have a new video of him from my phone...he is so smiley! Love him!

He slept ALL night!

And he is back asleep! We had a rough day yesterday with 5 hours of chopped up sleep the night before and only a 20 minute nap (just long enough to get a quick shower) so we were very ready for bed last night. Dad started rocking him after his 9:15 feeding and it wasn't looking good...wide eyed. At 10:30 we finally got him to sleep in the crib and we went to bed too. Ahhh. At 3:15 I woke up with a boob ache! Wow, I thought to myself, he has gone 6 hours since his last feeding and I have gotten 4.5 hours of straight sleep. Man, I wish my boobs didn't hurt... Next thing I knew it was 5:30 and it was a milk bath on my side of the bed! I made a beeline for the nursery. Yep, he was still alive! I couldn't get that breast pump turned on fast enough. Just then, he made a tiny squeak and it was time for breakfast! So, for the record, because yes, I am keeping a record, (so many commas--not sure they were correctly used) Wade went 8.5 hours between feedings and slept for 7 hours. That means I slept for 7 STRAIGHT hours too!! Bless you my son. God is good--all the time. Its gonna be a great day! Watch out 8 hours. We are comimg for you.

Sorry for the bad video skills, the goofy baby talk and that I keep accidentally focusing on a trash bag of dirty diapers in the background. He is smiling so much now and I never get it on video. I am trying!

Firsts

Last week the weather was perfect so Wade and I packed up and I took him to Utica Square for the first time! He loved it of course and slept the whole time:) Hat he wore was a little doofy but we are practical people above all else.

Tulips were blooming and so pretty! Not sure what this statue is about...it is blocking the tulips.
I had a hair appointment last week and Aunt Jenny got to babysit! It was the first time I had left Wade with anyone (other than dad). I did great. Wade did amazing. And, he got his first bottle! He didn't flinch at all, just started eating away. Praise Him! Wade and Aunt Jenny had some good bonding time---they are good friends!
Bigs helped feed Wade too:)
